I caught my first fish the first time I went fishing at the age of eight. Since then, I have been addicted to this sport! I have been fishing now for forty years, and I still love it! I have fished in Florida, Malaysia and Thailand. I fish for all kinds of species, be it a little minnow, salt water species, giant carps of Thailand, or the Mekong Giant Catfish. I love all kind of fishing, whether it is bait fishing or lure fishing. Some people go fishing to enjoy the scenery. Not me! I go fishing to catch fish! I am not satisfied with merely enjoying the scenery without catching anything. Us die-hard fishos aim to be among those 10% who always catch fish. Fish nowadays have developed an uncanny instinct, especially in fishing parks (??) to avoid getting caught. To be successful, you have to be very determined and patient. Over the years I have learned and developed many techniques to catch the species I am after. Fishing is very active. If one technique is not working, it’s important to keep experimenting until the fish bites. You need to know the species you are after, how to locate them and present them the right bait or lures until you succeed. Be innovative and creative! As preparation, get as much information as possible. Learn from experienced pros and share your technique with others. Fishing is a wonderful sport. Remember though, to always practise conservative fishing. Select your harvest. Take only what you need. Let the others go to grow to their potential size and reproduce. Preserve our fish for the future. …and have a great time! Let's go fishing !!
